THE CATEGORIES & HOW TO SUBMIT WORK

  1. Freshest E-Marketing Campaign or Viral Campaign Entries in this category should demonstrate how a viral campaign or electronic newsletter has successfully communicated with its target market over a minimum period of three-months with key emphasis on any interaction with its audience
  2. Freshest Online Learning & Education New This Year Entries in this category should demonstrate how an online facility has used technology and innovation to deliver educational tools, e-learning or training to a specific market. Detail the aspirations of the site, interaction and its success in meeting its objectives
  3. Freshest Business to Business Entries in this category should demonstrate how interactive media, including intranets and extranets, has been effectively employed to communicate or trade either internally or externally.
  4. Freshest Brand-Building Using Digital Channels Entries in this category should demonstrate how a brand has benefited from using online advertising either independently or as part of a mix, supported by other more traditional forms of advertising and promotional activity.
  5. Freshest Digital Campaign Entries in this category should demonstrate the overlap between digital and direct marketing and will reward entries that successfully plan, co-ordinate and execute the two media together in a campaign. Successful entries will demonstrate the effectiveness of the two media working in conjunction together.
  6. Freshest Integrated Marketing Campaign
    Entries in this category should demonstrate the successful integration of digital campaigns with offline marketing activities such as above-the-line advertising, direct marketing or sales promotion in order to fulfill a campaign objectives.
  7. Freshest Use Of Search
    Entries in this category should demonstrate services or marketing campaigns that have made the use of search technologies paramount in order to meet their marketing objectives. Advertisers using search marketing as part of their campaign or Media Owners who have exploited the search mechanic to their benefit, alongside organisations who can successfully demonstrate that they have improved the way visitors navigate their web sites as a result are examples of the entries required in this category.
  8. Freshest Recruitment
    Entries in this category should demonstrate how either a dedicated site, project or campaign connected with recruitment marketing has successfully been implemented with particular emphasis on the candidates attracted as a direct result of online activity.
  9. Freshest Online Retailer
    Entries in this category should demonstrate how e-commerce has successfully impacted on those retailers who have used the Internet to sell a product or service, either directly to consumers or to other businesses.
  10. Freshest Green Digital Delivery New This Year
    Entries in this category should demonstrate how the use of Digital activity has significantly impacted a company or service and the reduction in waste and improvements to the environment as a result.
  11. Freshest Public Sector Service
    Entries in this category should demonstrate effectiveness, accessibility, usability and cost efficiency by, or on behalf of, public sector bodies and organisations, including local and government services. Any digital platform will qualify for this category and in particular, projects that have used digital channels to bring their services to a wider public sector audience will be rewarded.
  12. Freshest Website Hosting
    Entries in this category should demonstrate the range of products and services a web host organisation can provide along with any innovative approaches to enhance their service in this competitive market.
  13. Freshest Not for Profit 50% entry revenue in this category will go to NABS Entries in this category should demonstrate work undertaken for a charity, social enterprise or not-for-profit association with specific emphasis on the opportunities the site provides for interaction with its audience. Detail the impact the site has had on the organisation for whom the work was commissioned.
  14. Freshest Animation in Digital Entries in this category should demonstrate how animation has been successfully created or introduced to a digital platform with particular emphasis on originality and creativity.
  15. Freshest Use of Creativity
    Entries in this category should demonstrate how creativity or innovation has played in major role in the success of online advertising, brand building ideas, a viral execution or a digital brand in its own right.
  16. Freshest Digital Innovation
    Entries in this category should demonstrate technology or innovation but may not have been established long enough in order to demonstrate commercial effectiveness. Entrants will be expected to explain what makes their project, product or service unique, and put it in the context of their competition
  17. Freshest Digital Sales Operation
    Entries in this category should demonstrate how a media sales operation has provided clients and/or media agencies with the Freshest thinking and level of service surrounding either a campaign, project or long term activity.
  18. Freshest Digital Design Operation (Design Based)
    Entries in this category should demonstrate how a range of their project work over a number of different clients has understood and met all of the objectives in each appropriate brief and benefited the client in their day to day business.
  19. Freshest Digital Agency Operation (Full Service)
    Entries in this category should demonstrate how an Internet agency, marketing agency, consultancy or other e-services supplier has delivered the most effective business and marketing work across its roster of clients.
  20. Freshest Digital Young Professional
    Entries in this category should demonstrate how an individual under 30 has made a significant impact on their employers business within the digital or online industries with particular emphasis on any innovative ideas or strategies implemented as a direct contribution.
  21. Freshest Digital Innovation
    Entries in this category should demonstrate technology or innovation but may not have been established long enough in order to demonstrate commercial effectiveness. Entrants will be expected to explain what makes their project, product or service unique, and put it in the context of their competition

A Grand Prix will also be awarded based on the Freshest overall entry irrespective of category and entries are not invited into this category, but will be selected by the judges.

  • All entries must be accompanied (Via an upload) by a maximum of a one page summary (max 500 words) outlining key information about the project – ie The Brief, Interpretation, Activity and Results. Keep it simple and to the point please.
  • Where entries are for individuals or teams, again please supply by a one page 500 words max, uploaded summary using the following headings – Who? What? & most importantly Why?
  • The exception to these uploads is Category 19 where we want a 100 word summary only explaining just why you think the site should win.
  • All entries must provide an accessible and live web address unless specifically a project where the site has since been suspended or is under re-development in which case a disk containing details of the site must be made available for the judges or a site address must be supplied with back office accessibility.
  • Websites should be accessible online or should be delivered on CD
  • If you have additional support items that relate to your campaign you can send them to Fresh (detailed with the appropriate reference number as detailed on your entry) by the closing date and we will ensure the judges see all support when live judging takes place in October.

Please note that you will be asked to register each of your entries online and also upload an image for use at the event and in the online book should you be shortlisted.
